    not actually a part to the top in question.

      New, better pictures in daylight:

      And I was wrong: It is a screw, and it is made out of a metal, which I can bend a bit, so a "soft" metal. So not really flexible, but bedable (a bit)

          Thanks for the additional info
          and photos. Screw of a "soft"
          metal is not a good sign - have
          a repro DAF cog top like that.
          Likewise, small pin holes in the
          eagle surface is a anti-originality
          concern too.

          (below) Overt poor casting flaws.
          Seeing such makes a "fake" top
          call much more easy to conclude.
