NSKK Pennant

Greetings everyone,
Just picked up this vehicle pennant from the Collectors Guild. I low balled an offer and frankly didn’t expect to get it. I guess I’m different from most collectors because I’ll take a salty item over mint anytime. This use to be part of the Phillips Gilliam collection. Comments appreciated.

Hello Joel:
IMO a chain stitched original NSKK pennant.
Wire fender pole supports seem odd, & as such
were maybe replaced or added sometime later?

Thanks! I honestly don’t know about the wire. I know Peter at CG said they were original to it. Does anyone know if any of Phillipe Gilliam’s Collection was recovered?

As far as I am informed by my friend Philippe (Gillain) nothing has been recovered from the stolen collection.
I think someone has a big collection, but can't show it, as all of it is stolen. This happened now a year ago!

The show one was from his collection, but available from the CG from before the theft! Gillain did own a few of NSKK pennants in
various forms.

Thank you for the information. That’s really terrible to lose such a collection. I’ve seen photos and you would need several trucks just to haul off the helmets. I’m curious how they did it.

Yes, I agree, or one bigger truck should also work!
If you know the situation and the position of the house, a few persons could have done it and nobody could have seen it from the road.
But it must have been a hell of a job, due to the two stairs in the house, which are not the easiest stairs to go. A quite hard to please
situation, I can tell you!
Some facts might be known by now, but mr. Gillain cannot maken this public (police orders)!
