I have a DAF Kreis flag with Cham-Kotzting-Viechtach. chain stitched panel. I think that the flag represents an area of Bavaria. Any other opinions out there? Not able to post pics at the moment - sorry.

Indeed it is. I have this Red Cross Pennant from Kotzting.

Is your flag's corner patch bordered in white or black?

Black was initially the Kreis color piping but it was later changed to white. So one can encounter Kreis level flags with either.
