Thankfully not even close! Does anyone know if there have been decent fakes of this style eagle, from command flags, command pennants etc. ? I have always thought no, but with some of the other fakes out now I wanted to see what the general consensus was.

The Himmler eagles never showed quality bullion work and can be easily faked. Even common police trumpet banners and drum drapes were far superior in workmanship and execution.
I would need to see some excellent providence before I would even consider one of these birds.

I had heard a while back from someone that there were really good fakes out there. However, I have not seen a side by side comparison of a fake and a real one. If anyone has an example of one of these fakes I would love to see it. As it may keep one of us from an expensive mistake.

I do own two SS command pennants that use this style eagle.
