Railway eagle - is it authentic?

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the authenticity of the Railway Eagle. It appears to have been forcefully removed from the railway car as the wing tip is broken and a threaded post is completely missing. The epoxy was used post-war to anchor hanging twine to display this as a war souvenir.

authentic ...but not handsome ..no documentation ...could have been removed in scrap yard after war ..who knows ...not FOR ME ... EC
