Hi I found this one for sale but I don't like the finish on it . Also in the book JR put out it says the didn't make this size eagle 26 1/2 by 13 1/2 inches. It looks like a sand cast piece to me. Cliff

Size sounds all wrong no matter how you look at it. I'm not an expert on maker in relation to available sizes but the only I'm aware of in general across all makers are 24 (or slightly over) -- 27 and 35. Put this together with the gravel pit cast finish I think you're about right --- I think there's no chance. That bottom stud looks like it was cut today btw...

way too many fakes out there today ..especially the "unthreaded" stud variety ...thia area of collecting is getting way too complicated ...easy to cast ,easy to age ...MINEFIELD!...EC
