Showing here a small RDF which I just acquired. I feel it to be period original, but would greatly appreciate some quick feedback from those who know more about these flags than I do, in order that it might be returned if not good.
The flag measures approximately 19 inches x 32 inches...a nice size for display. It is made of what I think to be a cotton, but may be a fine wool material, with the design and emblems dyed into the material, versus machine stitched or applied. The "hoist" end is doubled-over for reinforcement with a loop at each end for suspension. The flag is well machine-stitched all around but does not have the extra reinforcement stitching found on larger flags to prevent fraying. As well, it does not have the typical white bunting and rope at the hoist end which leads me to believe that this small flag was meant for indoor or other display purposes. There are no maker or size markings.
All feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
John
