Help with Hitler tapestry

I have this tapestry for a few months. I bought it from a guy in eastern part of Croatia, near the border with Vojvodina, Serbia. It was kept in a frame under the glass.

Prinz Eugen division is from this part of ex-Yugoslavia and before the ww2 this region was populated with Volksdeutschers.


Tapestry is 190x150 cm. It has some traces of frame and holes. It was probably nailed to some board.

Have you seen something like this already? Can you help me determine the price cause I don`t wan`t to keep it.

there one of my favorite things to find. Early tapestry, 1930's very nice construction, sadly, some jack a** wrote on it!!

This would be in the category of early Nazi Patriotika, patriotic material sold for home, business or office display. Some were official and others were produced by enterprising businesses seeking to make a profit from the popular trends of the period. As the poster noted, it was likely framed and under glass.

I've seen this one and variants over the years. The value would be several hundred dollars. The writing on this example is not the end of the world because it does add a touch of history. It is also placed well below the image allowing it to be folded under if the owner wanted to mount and hang it as originally intended.
