I just found this one - havent really seen a match in looking for the same format in the old threads - it's a monster at approximately 12 ft x 7.5 ft.
It's in great condition with a few spots. Based on the mounting side is of the more unusual 'banner' type - with 3-systems of attachment as the photos show. Also interesting, due to the size, it's actually made of two halves (upper and lower). There is a sewing line horizontally down the middle.
Unfortunately no real markings except for a penciled "240/4 ...38" on one corner.
Further, on the 2 'far' ends, there is a system of diagonal stitched reinforcing with a triangle of extra material on each corner of the mounting side.
Any idea of values for this format? If I understand previous threads correctly, this type of mounting system (without Naval-proof) would be for rather diplomat/state buildings?
The only story that was passed along was "that an uncle picked it up in a building in Berlin"
Appreciate all thoughts!
