My DE standard any ideas?

Guys:
I found this back in the mid 80s in NYC. There were 2 additional/identical DE standards but sadly I only grabbed the 1. Now I know this isn't German NS era but any ideas when & for what it was made? All 3 were identical in quality so it was a small production run. It's actually very well made. Single sided. Eagle looks US (almost colonial)I got it from the sgt at arms from a now defunct outlaw biker gang in Queens (Ridgewood) NYC. Now, judging by location & quality could it possibly be a bund item? Or maybe a movie prop from 40s or 50s. I could have purchased all 3 for $250.00 but chose to buy just the 1 for $100.00. I think this was back in 1986 or so...enjoy & any/all comments appreciated! regards, Richard

Thanks for posting photos of your interesting
replica DE standard. Indeed you should have
bought all three, but hindsight is always 20:20.
Design does not match any movie use I've seen
to date, but I'm always still looking too. Usually
movie examples have thicker and wider wreaths.
Also your cloth banner material appears synthetic,
if so that would IMO make it 1960's or newer. You
might UV light test and/or loose thread burn test it.

Yes of course, I should have dated it by construction material (i.e. banner material) Still, it's very unique & done way better than say the B&W version shown here. Does anyone remember these from Delta,Globe, etc? Or maybe Rockwell or later N.S.W.P.P. creation? Very curious, also a neat filler as I'll never own an original......Originally posted by oldflagswanted View PostHello Richard:

My B&W movie DE banner was made during WW2, and
then it was reused in the "Voyage to the Bottom of the
Sea" TV show, as the screen capture shows. I made the
plywood Hollywood box to display the B&W DE banner.
Delta sold a nice SW Asia made bullion DE banner, so nice
looking that one is on display in the Berlin (DHM) museum.
Have never seen any DE design used by Rockwell, and the
later neo banners had "White Power" lettering & NSPA top.
