    Bag for NSDAP flag

    Hello everyone,

This is the first time I have found a bag like this. I suppose it is for a NSDAP Ortsgruppe flag or any other flag of this size.

Does anyone know what this small "window" is for? The name of the city maybe?

    Thanks!
    Klaus

      Hi Klaus,

Like you, I've never seen something like this before...though from the condition in your photos, it looks almost too new to be 80+ years old...

          Thanks everyone!
I´m sure it is good but I admit it looks a little funny on my first pictures. Here are a few daylight pictures.

Can anyone show other known variants maybe?
          Thanks!

            Could not find the manufacturer.
Not sure why there is /88 and not a year on the end.

A little hard to read but it is clearly /38.

                then it makes sense.
I assume the maker is legit, number range is possible with the L2.

                  Hello Klaus:
Nice item, thanks for posting lots of detailed views.
IMO "window" is indeed for use by owner for label card.
Round top bag would better fit a DAF cog top, rather
than a wide wing NSDAP eagle top or narrow pointed
SS/SA top which would pierce the end - why Heer and
other nation unit flag covers have metal bag tip or very
heavy reinforced triangle, with Soviet type open ended
that ties below the H&S spear top. I like all flag covers.

The bag is even nicer when it comes with all the extras-

                      Hello gauost:
Indeed a very nice set - bravo. Wondering about the
metric measured width of the NSDAP eagle top and the
bag width? And the width of the post #1 bag/cover too?
Likewise, I believe anti-bag-rub wing covers existed too,
to prevent cover use wear - have seen these super rare
extra top cover bits used on Luft & Heer truppenfahnen.
