No markings what so ever but it is a heavy piece from a first World War German Collection, thanks for your replys.

I must agree with Milton on both counts: this is a fine looking piece, though I see no obvious connection to a German origin. I've seen this style of eagle in many gift shops here the USA; it is taken as a standard American design.
