    Hi OFW
I too did a quick google search for NSKOV pole tops and found 5 identical aluminium pole tops as mine for sale, the dealers state the pole tops are genuine third reich period and have the same RZM mark. Do the copies have RZM Marks?
    Thanks
    Frank

      HI OFW,

I realized there were made in India as once I was at a show and a dealer was selling the one piece aluminum types as copies. They were stunning and looked perfect. They did have an RZM code in the correct format but I do not recall the maker number. He had a few, all the same and they had little labels, "MADE IN INDIA" stuck onto the aluminum. He was charging about 40 dollars each. When I saw that I made a mental note to examine any of these that I see in the future more closely. I would advise any buyer of one to go for a piece where the bottom tube or sleeve is a seperate sleeve that is attached to the main body, or even a early example by Gahr as there are too many one-piecers floating around these days. It is really a hefty profit for somebody to buy a made in India piece and darken it up a little and then charge a few hundred dollars for it.

      Kindest Regards,

      John

ps, OFW, I do not have an online source but perhaps Reddeck Enterprises (spelling) sells the same ones? They sell many repro "artistic" items at some of the big shows and I am sure they have an online catalog. The examples I saw were from a small dealer who sold repros as repros at a show.

          Hi
Ive taken a few more pics, the overall appearance of the pole top is of poor workmanship, as you can see from the pics, it is not symmetrical, the casting and finish is poor, the pole top is difficult to stand up due to the base being uneven.
          Regards
          Frank
PS I have email Reddeck and asked if their pole top is RZM marked

              Frank:
Closer views of the RZM M3/27 NSKOV poor details
does indeed point to the top being a reproduction.
Cited flaws are characteristics of non-3rd Reich tops,
especially casting pits, layered base surface, bottom
being uneven, etc. Devil is always in the fine details.

But still unconvinced that all NSKOV solid cast = fake.

OFW, I do not at all think that one piece NSKOV tops aluminum are all fake, but I do believe that one has to be very careful when considering a one piece example as that is the style that they are copying and one day the fakers will wise up and do them in two pieces I am sure.--although that is extra effort on their part and why bother when they are making money as is. I think the factory in India makes money on mass production so they do not care, they probably sell them for a dollar or two each in bulk then the jobbers here sell them for maybe ten or 15 dollars then the wholesalers here sell them for a bit more and then the dealers a bit more until they make there way to those who pass them as real, some unknowingly. BTW the picture with the "INDIA" stamipng is priceless.
