Authentication assistance needed on Nazi flag, please.

A coworker's father passed away and left this flag and some unrelated firearms behind. The gentleman's widow told me that he had told her that he got this (or a family member got this) in '39 at some German fair in NY. The only fair I've found in NY in 1939 was the World's Fair, in which Germany was not in attendance. My research suggests this is the Kriegsmarine flag from '39+ but that is about all I've found. Naturally you examine the artifact and not the story, but I have no doubt that it's old, but of course I do not know if it's authentic military or a commercial reproduction.

Regardless, I've taken some pictures and can take additional as needed as the flag is in my possession. Dimensions are approximately 30"x50" but the flag will stretch a bit, hence the approximation. Any assistance in authentication and approximate value are appreciated.

    Thank you.

Looks like a good 2nd pattern RKF to me in very salty condition.

It doesn't look very big. Can you see a size stamped on the header? Looks like it may be a 50X85 cm flag as your measurements indicate.

    Regards.

No, I only see the stamp that I have provided a photo of. Would you rate the condition of this as poor? Thank you for your help.

Looks like the maker is Lorenz Summa Sonne Oberkotzau.....Too bad about condition, but is unquestionably an original......IF in mint condition it would be worth about $400-500....In present condition, I would say about $150.....Maybe more, depending on who's looking for one in this condition.....Bodes

Did the german armerican bund use the RKF? That could explain why it was found in 1939 In NY

The German-American Bund did not use the Reichs Kriegs Fahne; they had their own designs for banners and also used the standard design swastika flag.

I was at least aware that they used the standard party flag and the US flag lol. They also used their IMO cool design with a 3-d affect and AV at the base. Just wasn't sure in the RKF being used. Surprised they didn't really.

Is there any idea on how many made or where they were made?

Not many, and maybe only one in the large size.
As with the Bund emblem stick pins, maybe in N.Y.
The Bund standard, lead in the post #9 parade, is
the ultimate Bund flag to have (see below).

I wonder where they all ended up as not that far from where I live (maybe 30 mins max) there was a camp. My guess in NY too. I would love to see one some day as it would be interesting to see the construction. Another factor, would it be in inches or centimeters as far as size goes....
