      Hello Oldflagswanted

Thanks for the great information. One question however, is this a rare flag due to its transitional origin? Again, thanks

      Best Regards

I have period photos of the first pattern Kriegs flag with the solid outer ring where the bars do NOT meet the ring.

I would like to see a period photo of the flag in question where the bars meet the outer ring.

I lean toward the flag in question being original based on all the other details. But, I have never been able to find a period photo of this type.

                Hello Pep

Thanks for your email, however, I cannot find the flag listed on this thread on the link you have provided. Do you have a period photograpgh or a source for the war flag listed in this thread. It appears to be a combination of the two patterns seen in the link. Thanks

                Best Regards

Mike, I still think your flag is original. Obviously, there were a few patterns of the Kriegsflagge and yours is just one of them.

I am just a novice, but I thought I'd post a period picture of one of the KM battle flags flying from the post of a German Frigate:

Thanks for posting your photo. Do you have a period photograph of the KM Battle Flag that started this thread?

                          Best Regards
