        IMO, your flag looks good.
I have a question. What are these flags made of: cotton, wool, etc? The reason I am asking is that I have the same one and I am wondering if I should protect it some how against moth.

Looks textbook to me....Reichskreigflagge, Kreigsmarine marked, made in Munich, Germany....These were made in both wool and cotton....Will be fine if displayed out of direct sunlight in a room, in a cedar chest or treated with products to moth proof....Not a problem if cotton...

            Hello BNZ.42 and Bodes

Thanks for the response as well as the helpful information! (Tinmantis posted this for me). I believed it to be textbook and did not really have a concern as to the originality of the flag (better safe than sorry however). As to the material of this particular flag, I believe this one was made out of cotton. Thanks again.

            Best Regards

            Mike

Does anyone have period photos of a flag with this type of solid outer swastika ring?

Pleeeeeeeease... donĀ“t say Kreigsmarine, its Kriegsmarine. Kreigsmarine sounds awful!

I read that quite often here and had to vent a bit

                          Hello to all

All the markings, construction, fabric etc. appear textbook with this flag, nonetheless because this flag has a solid black ring around the swastika, do you think the flag is a repro or an original variation?
                          Best Regards

Mike, BOTH Reichkriegsflagges I own are minus the solid ring.....I personally haven't studied these flags enough to say definitely whether/not it's a variation.....Every thing else looks good....I guess I'd start looking for period dated photographic evidence to find out for sure....Good Luck ...Bodes

Thanks Bodes, I will begin researching the war flag, if I find out anything, I will let you and the forum know. As to this particular flag, I am almost certain it is original (the feel i.e. material, look, construction etc. is just as it should be as well as how I purchased it). Nonetheless, I am no expert. Again Thanks for your thoughts.

                              Best Regards
