Mike, I do not think this is a fake, Unless it is a newer fake, the only fakes I have seen of this pattern TO DATE are the pot metal style (this is a nickel plated tombac piece), so if it is a fake something very recent...the fakes that I have seen are casting out of India, John ps just my opinion but you do have to watch them guys from VA jk

      Reddick Enterprises

Thank you, OFW, for your continued input to this thread.

To be quite honest, I am absolutely astonished that Reddick Enterprises actually offers a reproduction of this item! (I wonder if he sells more than two per year? )

I noted with particular interest that even the repro has the central ridge running the length of the sword...

Wonder what "anomalies" you are referring to?
Could you cite the India made NSKOV top URL
or maybe post a photo showing the India top.

Indeed the Reddick replica NSKOV tops appear
to have the correct "central ridge", as they are
stated as being made from "high quality molds
directly from ...originals ... capturing all ...details..."

(below) WW2 period NSKOV flag photo with "central ridge" top.
(below-2) WW2 period NSKOV flag photo but top covered with laurel leaves.
