Heer standarten & fahnenspitzen

With my thanks to Michael Davis of the Virtual Grenadier,
I was able to add to my pole top collection an interesting
broken finial from a Heer battalion standard or 4x4 unit flag.
This remaining portion of a pre-WW2 Berlin made pole top,
being just like others which were broken off by the Russians
after the 1945 Moscow Victory Parade in June 1945, and are
now on display in the CAFM captured German flag displays.

Fragment top has the same three part bottom of
the pole adapter base as shown in previous WAF
threads. First word is Foundry in German, KRAAS
is the foundry name - the only WW2 maker of the
Heer tops, with Berlin S42 being their location.

Yes, it was long ago, and I lost the bid on same
and the winning bidder had it up for resale more
recently at many times the old auction won price.
