There's one possible issue you may wish to consider.

A long-time collector showed me some pages from a 1960s catalogue of repro flags, banners etc. These Balkan Cross flags were being produced back then with brass rivets.

Obviously I can't say that your flag is a copy, but it's worth knowing that the repros, with 40-plus years of aging, may still be in circulation.
