    DE Standarte Kurpfalz Question

    Hi from sunny Germany:-)

As I am writing a war chronicle about the town of Neulussheim, I researched that here one of the first SA and NSDAP Gruppen in 1926 in the rural areas of Baden were established.
The SA belonged first to the Standarte 171 Gruppe Kurpfalz,(Mannheim) then Standarte 110 located at Heidelberg.
I have never seen a picture of the Deutschland Erwache Standarte of Kurpfalz!
Was there a DE of Kurpfalz or was that done with Townnames on the box like for the 110 Heidelberg or for Standarte 171,Mannheim inthe box ?? I am a bit confused! Can anyone assist please?
    Thanks Dirk

    Hello Dirk:
    1997 Ulric/Bender DE book (ISBN 0-912138-69-6)
lists SA DE standard Kurpfalz as presented at the
1931 Nuremberg Rally. NSDAP announcement has
it listed as #23 on page 350, alphabetic list on
page 352, has it as #14 of 24 new DE's in NR 1931.
I didn't see a photo of the Kurpfalz DE in the book.

(below) Looked online for the Kurpfalz DE photo, but only saw
    S001065 SA "KURPFALZ" FLAG PATCHES.
    Chain stitched
unit marking "25/2" in white on a dark green wool backing.
Bordered is silver wire border. The "25" represents his "Sturm"
(Company), and the "2" the "Standarte" (Regiment).Removed from
    a flag. GRADE **** PRICE $238.00

Thank you very much OFW! I have been going thru the mentioned pages last night and still wounder, if it there was then a SA Gruppe Kurpfalz wich had one of its Standarte , the Standarte 110 Kurpfalz located at Heidelberg, and then also in the same Gruppe a Standarte 171 with the name Rhein Neckar plus several more.?
As I understand the names of the Standarte either refering to a townname or a special area.
Why is it that mostly the Standarte are refered by numbers and not by their honor name like kurpfalz?
      Thanks agin
      Dirk
