Canadian Alberta Nazi Deutscher Bund flag + U boat flag, rare? help needed!

    Hi Guys,

Got these out of the same group of stuff last week, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with either of them.

The "U-boat" flag is 23 x 35 inches, and has no visible markings, great condition with no mothing. What does this size indicate? I know that some of the small ones are for U-boats and the larger ones are less attractive.

The more puzzling of the two flags is the Nazi Party flag, size 30 x 55 inches. It has a very unusual stamp on one of the corners:

    "Deutscher Bund, Canada
    ???? Alberta,"

The maple leaf in the centre I found interesting, I can't read the name of the town however.

How rare would one of these flags be? Would most of them been destroyed? I am in Alberta so found it interesting these would even exist!

I found this on the Alberta Bunds, Started by someone called Hans Mayer. Apparently there were 71 separate Alberta Bunds:

    Thanks again

    Hello Discostu:
RFK not KM marked or WW2 German made size IMO.
Likewise, swastika on maple leaf stamp not of German
origin IMO, by design configuration and use. Lastly
both flags have non-German ropes - narrow ropes, and
especially so by use of a UK style wooden toggle.

      Hi old flags wanted!

.....That is quite odd, both flags are vet pick ups

The configuration of the Canadian Nazi flag would make sense, since it could have been made.....in Canada, certainly prewar anyway.

Maybe I got the size of the smaller flag wrong, will go and check

Put your trust in Old Flags. Knowledge and experience are king!

I'm no expert, but that RKF doesn't look good -swastika looks too thin for a start.
Has the flag got any reinforced stitching or corner panels?

I was about to say he sounds like a really knowledgeable guy, I just want to check everything is good though!

Here are some more pictures, including the reinforcements on the Kriegs flag.

            Hello darrenbate:
Thanks for your kind words, always nice to be appreciated.

(below) some construction based RKF comments.
RKF in question on top, showing no corner supports,
poorly sewn edge stitching errors. An that "real" RKF
edge stitching was done before the header attached. OFW

Any ideas about the Alberta flag guys, or does anyone have a similar bund flag in their collection?
