To be honest, I am not a great fan of this one. The casting looks awfully soft,
original diplo eagles always had very sharp casting lines. I also don't like the back of this one either -doesn't have the 'scooping' of the known originals. Better photos would be needed but I would not buy this one personally- just my opinion.

The latest one is also a cast fake. The details are not what I would expect.
Like Mike, I also find the reverse a cause for concern. The extra material just next to the eye in post #17 shows a small non-existent manufacturing flaw when the fakers tried to remove the mould. A proper factory would have ensured the draft angles were correct!

These pieces are easy to reproduce due to the relatively flat surface of the shape. I think one member posted photos of how he replicated his train eagles in resin at home by just using materials bought from the local stores.
