    Bund Window Flag?

This came in from the grandson of the lady that flew it in her home here near Milwaukee before the war. It is made of some sort of early plastic.

Has any one seen these before?
Does a flag of this type appear in Scott Freeland's book?

    Thanks!

    Hello MJD:
Interesting item, especially with tassels. Have
not seen one like it before. Likewise, have not
yet seen the SF book, but recall his superb award
winning military show Bund collection display.

PS/ Noted online "...Guide How To Test For Bakelite Plastic."

      Thanks OFW

I think its more of a Catiline or celluloid plastic, somewhat fragile. i will have to see if our fellow fahnen sammler PaulJ has the book, as I know he contributed a few items.

      Thanks!

Holy cow. Have one of these floating around somewhere. Picked it up forever ago. A small piece. Thought it was just some propaganda piece. Bund is a good identification for these. I will see if I can remember where it is. I do remember they are brittle.

I don't think this is shown in the Bund book. However, I seem to recall encountering these in Germany. It could be that a Bund member brought it back from Germany in the 1930's.
