I really hate to see Wittmann laying on the standard like that. He could have snagged it or even gotten some black shoe polish on it. It is a hell of a piece of history for him to treat that way.
He really didn't need to lay on it just to illustrate the size of the standard.

1939 KM Flaggenbuch listed ship sizes of ...
50x50cm, 100x100, 150x150, 240x240.
Likewise, interesting unusual maker too.

Militaria being just more stuff laying around,

As previously posted, IMO largest official issue
size was 240x240cm. As such the few supersizes
were likely one of a kind special use examples.

I have an approximately 16' x 4' banner similiar to the ones shown in the above photo. The only practical use I've ever found for it was as a table cover at shows.

I always liked the quality of this one. It was offered for sale on eBay about a dozen years ago (back when eBay was worth watching).
