    Kriegsmarine Flag Orignial?

    Hi Gentlemen,
This is my first post on here I only wish I found this website a long time ago! Anyway I'd like to ask your advice on a flag I have in mind, see pics. I almost bought it until I read in one of the other post on here that flags made by Plutzar & Brull K.G., Bielitz O/S are suspect. Do you think this is fake or legit & what would be a reasonable price be?
Also I remember seeing on a modelling website regarding sizes of Kriegsmarine flags and the size of warship they were used on , can anyone point me in the right direction as I lost the site info
Finally can you tell me if a Kriegsmarine flag has to have the eagle with 'M' below as quite reputable seller told me that a particular flag I was interested in (not this one) a smaller 50 x 85 "was definately used for U-Boats" but it doesnt appear to have the eagle & 'M'. Although almost mint he was asking $1200 for it
Anyway thanks for looking I'd appreciate any advice

Welcome to the forum! The flag is authentic. Just FYI 1200 for any kriegflag is highway robbery

Hi most people list these for around $500.00. But they are not selling very well right now. Best regards

Go down to the e stand section and you can pick out a nice one.

Dont pay 1200 USD for a 50x85 its way too much

            Gents
Thanks for your comments and advice
Ive had a look at the e stand and I cant find any of this approx. size in Kriegsmarine stamped M. Which brings me to another question. What actually was the correct size that was use on U-Boats? I know this question has been asked many times but although there are various answers there is nothing definitive that I have found so far. Is it 50x85 (I personally think this is a bit small) 80x135 or 100x170?
The flag i have shown doesnt have double stiching all the way down the outer edge just on the corners (see pic) therefore would this have actually been made for U-Boats or small craft? The other pic shows some small holes on the flag would that detract much from the value at all?

            Thanks

                  Hello Ohms931:
WAF "wmtf" thread t=427262, lists and shows good & bad
examples. A study of photo details in that thread will help
sort out period vs. modern made flags & some pennants.
KM eagle-M stamp is a factory inspection mark that the flag
meets sea service construction requirements - sometimes
a flag can have sea service sewing, but lack an eagle-M stamp.
However, IMO there is no shortage online or at shows of WW2
period made flags having the more desired eagle-M mark.
