Period & surviving DE photos ???

In an older MFF post I read that the Salzburg Erwache
survived the war and now resides in an Austrian collection

Very interesting. Always looking forward to
both period & surviving today DE photos.

Here is one I used to have that went to Burmeister. The finial, flag and cross piece were original, but I had to fashion the pole and joining pieces myself and finish them.




As I had an SA DE, I had to have a Police one too, and as I had an extra DE finial purchased from HH years ago and restored a bit, I fashioned the police box and SS/police black pole and cross piece for a flag.



The box was fashioned of hard maple to specs of the Hollabrunn example using computer cutting. The NSDAP are in the wood but the swastikas and eagle are metal, finishing with proper size screws. At a short distance, you can't tell it's made of wood.



All gone but the police box now.

The 1939 Iron Cross Swallowtail "soon to be sold"
IMO appears to be a reproduction of the WW2 SS
LAH Artillery Battalion Standard. As far as I know
the bullion embroidered original didn't survive the
war. The Russians captured the regiment LAH DE
banner and eagle top with Adolf Hitler box below.
