KM Flag Questions

Hi,

I am looking at buying my 1st KM Flag.

"Reichskriegs-Flg 1,0 x 1,70"

1/ It is made of wool - is this the earlier type?

2/ It has the KM mark of an Eagle over the M so assume this was for sea duties. I can't see any reinforced lines of stitching running vertically. Most flags cotton/wool seem to have the stitching if they are KM. Opinions welcomed.

see the flag you are asking about to tell you more.

Most but not all, as you have implied, have the reinforcement stitching. IMO, it is possible that many of the early KM flags from the pre-war days (but overlapping of course) were without the reinforcement stitching to include some of the second pattern examples, the design as posted above by OFW.
