Can a NSDAP Orts level flag have a number on the area patch as well as the town? Hope that this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Hi this only the case if the Patch is black and it is a NSBO Flag ! Brown patch with Blue Borderpreis and Name and Number i have Never Seen. Best regstes Dirk

Both NSDAP and DAF ortsgruppen flags can be found with numbers accompanying the town name.

It depends on how many branches the location had.

You flag looks ok.

Any one else like to give an opinion.
DAF and NSBO area flags can have numbers as well as words but is this so for NSDAP area flags?

I agree...looks OK to me. Can you post a close up of the corner with the writing to see what the stitching looks like. I have an ortsgruppe kamen flag, but it didnt have the silver fringe , seems to me it was white, but I like this one, as the moths did also. These are wool flags, and have the propensity to be bug food, as they like them a lot . If i were you I'd bag that one to keep it from getting any more damaged. Still nice even damaged, and historical....the flag man will likely straighten this one out in more detail.

Its the same for NSDAP Ortsgruppen flags.

Post some closer pics of the flag in question.Im sure its a good one.
