    Kriegsflag rows of stitching

I ask help to understand if a kriegsflag must always have a row of stitching on the edges.
If the kriegsflag does not have a row of 6 sides seams is original?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi

    It is like this
Flags with rows are often marked for Kriegsmarine and those without are intended for use on land

All my KM flags marked for KM have rows

Hello and thanks for the reply.
My flag is marked with the eagle KM and is great 335 x 200, but has no rows.
      Is normal?

        Hello Francesco:
Interesting question. It might depend on the RKF
maker, as to if they applied the KM sea service
spec cert eagle even though construction was
non-compliant. Also your RKF may have been
in service repaired, if so the size would measure
less than 200x335cm, which was KM authorized
for use on 1.5K-10K ton ships (De=3Kt, Cruiser=8Kt).

When you look at the proximity of the edge to the circle the flag has definitely been shortened.

I have seen them in various sizes without the stitching OFW. I will go back and check my records. All from KM vessels and so marked.

Yes, you are correct in this as the other KM marked flag in my records with the absence of stitching is 2X3.35 meters.
