      Hello Arran:
That is why they were listed as Fk23 and Fk24, i.e., FAKE numbers...

Fk23. Fahnen-Kley HAMM (Westf.),fake maker tag, *OFW (RKF)
Fk24. NVPFv (Holland), real maker #16 but fake tag, *OFW (RKF)
      OFW
(below) again Fk23 = FAKE tag & FAKE KM eagle "M" stamp too.
(below) again Fk24 = FAKE tag, with two swastika eagles added too.

          Hello Gene:
Photo would help greatly in sorting out what
you are asking about. Also lots of examples
already posted in this thread, do any match?

            Flag stitching

I hope you guys can see the stitching on the bottom corners of this flag. Do you think that this stitch pattern is exclusive to this manufacturer?

I am asking because I have a naval proofed flag size 50x80 that has the same stitch pattern but is missing a manufacturers mark.

Unable to address your question based on
the provided photo small size & poor resolution.

The manufacturer is Curt Bräutigam (over) Plauen. Vogtland. It is a naval marked 100X170 kriegsflagge. The stitching in the bottom corners has three diagonal stiches in red thread over 5 horizontal stitches across the bottom.

I am asking because I have a 50x80 naval marked kriegsflagge with the same stitch pattern but with no manufacturer mark.

I tried to clean up the photo. Please take another look. You may have to save on your PC (copy/paste) and blow it up.

                Thank you.

Interesting question. KM sea service extra
fly end row stitching seems to be more
common than IMO earlier across corner
stitching. Having both appears to be very
unusual in reviewed RKF maker examples.
However, the complete "wmtf" listing has
yet to be examined regarding your question.

I will take some photos of my 50X80 flag and post them for the forums review. Will try to get them on here Friday.

I think you are saying that the across the corner stitch pattern was an early variant used by manufacturers producing flags for naval purposes? I am assuming that the across the corner pattern was replaced by the extra fly end row stitching. The reason being is that the cross row stitch just was not durable enough for naval purposes. To have both corner stitch and extra fly end stitch is "unusual".

Do you have an idea of which manufacturers used that cross stitch pattern?

                      Many thanks!!

                        Hello NSDAP42:
                        Swastika stamp indeed appears bogus,
especially with double 1942 date, etc.

Not an easy question to answer,
in that some 50 plus makers have been
photo identified in the "wmtf" thread. A
review of each posted example would be
needed to access the end stitching type.

Thanks OFW. I will review the thread later on today. Will also get some photos of my two flags with the across stitch pattern.

Curiously, one is a 50x85 and one is a 80x135. Both have ACS exactly like your photo example, neither have a manufacturers mark, both are KM marked, corner reinforced patches are square, not oblong (or more of a rectangle I guess) as in your example, and both are NOT cotton but woven out of wool.

                              Hmmmm
