    Very nice, bravo! A rare much under appreciated top since it
    has no swastika, called Lanzespitzen. It is interesting to note that
    your posted example has extra added mounting leg holes for the
    screw attachment of the 7th ring of the flag, usually done between
    the legs into the wood rather than through the metal strap leg. None
    of the several I have in my collection are like that. Mine go with my
    SS/SA battalion flags (sturmbannfahnen), one with no maker markings,
    another with just the circle RZM, another has RZM-60, and the best
    of all is a early kamphzeit unit marked 1/L (1st Leibstandarten).

            i share the same sentiments that ss flagpole topper is under-valued and under-appreciated in the collector market. thanks for showing nice and original examples

              Very nice, yours is one of my favorite examples, still on the original pole end ,
              and showing where the seventh ring attached below the sturmbannlanzespitze.

                The Lanzenspitze was initially used by the SA and by the SS as they were under the auspices of the SA. Since there is no difference between the SA and SS tops, any spear top can be SA or SS. There is also a smaller version that was used by the Reiter SA.
                Very tough to find when you're looking for one!

                    Gian:
                    BFT can be seen in post #7, to the right, a flat swastika in wreath. And
                    from elsewhere previously posted on the WAF, a nice period BFT close up ...

                        size comparison.

                        The smaller type is mounted on a pole for a SA or SS Command Flag. The black paint on it is period done.

                          Love that smaller version, only one I've ever seen in nearly 40
                          years of collecting, either super rare or I need to get out more?
                          Likely some of both, very nice that you included the scale too.

                            Hello everybody,

                            I've the same sort of spearhead in my collection, but I can't identify it. Is there someone here who can help me ?

                            Here's some pictures ;

                            I see no marks on it and I didn't find this model in a book. By chance, I see the auction of Gom Jabbar and I see his spearhead looks like mine. The only difference is silver plate. I'm pretty sure my spearhead was never silver plated... But if it can helps ;

                            Thanks in advance for your response.

                            Kind regards,

                            Pierre

                              Hello Pierre:
                              Looks OK to me, a period SA, SS, or HJ unit flag pole top example.
                              Likely pre-RZM, thus no maker markings, and appears to have been
                              buried or in a fire, thus the now non-chrome finish discoloration, IMO.
