Vehicle ID Flag Help Please

Hi , i have been offered this what i believe is a Vehicle ID Flag , it measures 36.5" x 29.5" , it looks like it has been made up with two pieces of red material sewn together about a third way in on the flag & then the swaz disc has been sewn on after this . The stiching looks good & there is also a small repair which i have shown , the dealer wants £70 so i just want to know if it is an original & if the price is acceptable as he wont shift on the price

The grommets are the same as the example I have,, along with the lower stitching,,

Also if this is original why would it be made up from two pieces & then have the disc sewn on after ?

I cant say for sure,,these things were made for field use,,so I would imagine a guy will encounter variations from time to time,,try a burn test and the old Black light test and see what you come up with,,

I agree, the grommets look good, but the material is different than mine. My is 100% good, my Father brought it back.....Imo I would wait for more comments.

This form of cotton weave is found on many SA and NSDAP sturmfahne. I have no problem with the originality of this piece.

Has anyone got an idea as too why this flag has been made from three pieces ? as it has been joined about a third of the way into the flag .
