thus not a very high quality made example IMO. But

Post closups of the red linen and disk, that stiching looks too crude to me. My political flag is fine needle work and quality is very fine. I'm suspect!
Political are the most common for sale because so many more were made and survived the war. Go to Bill Shea's web page and compare.
German flags existed on many quality levels.
Early home made flags were crude and not all were factory quality.
I wouldnt use one example as a comparison for all flags.
As for Bill Shea he doesent always have "Primo" flags.He has had over the years many crude examples.I remember one example that was described by him as "Crude but original" .The basic description was an unfinished white disk cut out with pinking shears, ( no edge folding) and quickly sewn onto a red field .BIll himself described it as a very rough example but original.Much rougher than the example shown.
