Views on a flag pleasae.

This one does not belong to me , it belongs to a freind who lives in Australia.
Although we have never met and only know each other via email exchanges he is one of those decent sorts whom you get a good feel about , a real decent sort.

This flag he bought several years ago , size / measurements will follow.
The disc is printed on the flag and is not sewn on.







If anyone might be able to venture an opinion I would be grateful.

IMO the flag is suspect based on the screen printing quality,
specifically the white circle edge over print error. Not saying it
overtly is a fake, that would require an evaluation of the size,
sewing methods, evidence of pole mounting if any, material, etc.
Just not a flag of great value in comparison to soldier trooped
unit type flags, which are my own old flag collecting preference.

Rule one with any silk screen printed flag is establish wether the red field has been printed on the white.

Also tell your friend to blacklight it.
Burn test any available thread.
Smell test.

If original the sheen would indicate a rayon-cotton blend in the fabric.
