I believe one of my LOK's has the same marking. Never found out what it stands for. Will take a photo shortly.

lol you unlock one of the un-spoken hidden secrets to identify a real bird well it doesn't conforms to LOK, another maker(s) seem to have this marking too, different alphabet and numbering system. the markings will always be a mystery...

Could be a random metal test marking. Would not bother me as long as the bird is good.

@Ken B: Looking forward to seeing your marked bird! No luck finding a electric wagon eagle at any of the shows this year?

@SSgentleman: Sorry my English is not the greatest what maker is this mark usually found on?
(I do remember where this birdie one came from:-))

Does this mean that there is any problem with the crown of my collection?

                Thank /Bjorn

Bjorn,i know you are enjoying your birdie so far most of the LOK bird i've handled has this marking on their head, some is worn out and some is very clear (seen 6 pieces marked this way, not sure if ALL THE LOK birds have this marking). I am pretty sure your eagle is a nice and authentic one careful don't show too much and exact details (the numbers and alphabet) for fakers to add on to their repro birds

Sorry for the delay. Went to an auction this morning and pulled out a decent SS helmet.

Anyway, here is the mark on my LOK. Out of the 12 various RR Birds in my collection this is the only one with a mark on the head.

Bjorn...Those huge birds with back sweeping wings are very difficult to come by....I'm going to send you an email
