about 3rd Reich Army unit flags

I am going to try and get some historical information on this one.

Hello again ADG:
All 3rd Reich Army unit flags look pretty much alike, they differ only by
service branch background color (waffenfarben) and being a swallowtail
for motorized units or square for ground or foot units. The only way you
would know for sure what battalion of what regiment the flag belonged to
is if it where still nailed onto its original pole. Green was the German Army
Jager branch color, but they were essentually used as just glorified infantry
(see infantry white flag show below).

Ben, thanks for that info. I spent an hour on google trying to gain some insight on the mountain flag and the Goring flag.
I really like the swallowtail flag also.
It's real easy to see how a collector could go off the deep end over flags.They are beautiful and have a great deal of history tied to them.
I also have a few silver looking rings that went on the flag poles. They have various regt.# engraved on them.
I have one flag pole.
