German Labor banner in my collection

    Hello forum...

Here's a banner in my collection I bought last year.

The GI wrote the names of all the towns he passed through in ink as shown in the photo.

    Enjoy... Robert

Very nice standard there!!!! it is very rare, its not just an RAD banner but a special Honor banner only a few were awarded to factory units across Germany.keep tight hold of that one..

Yes, and it is the special flag of the German Labor Front (Deutsche Arbeitsfront; DAF) with gold frings and gold wheel for NS-model-factories ("NS Musterbetriebe").
The Award-title "NS-Musterbetrieb" was the highest award of the “DAF Achievement Contest for German factories”.
The Flag was awarded with the big award document (with original Hitler signature) and the small DAF stickpin in gold.
Pictures Attached: another Flag, Award document (name of the firm censored), photo of members of the "Werkschar" (factory-troops) which carried the golden DAF flag on the 1st may 1939 in berlin.

                        Very nice flag !

                        best regards
                        Florian W. (Koj)

                              Hello Koj....

Thanks for the awesome info... and photos....

                              I really appreciate it....

The vets widow was convinced that the fringes were made of pure gold... and wanted to cut them off.... and sell for the metal....

At first... she wanted $5000... (because of the alleged gold content)... and finally came down to $1000.
