It looks like a Luftwaffe dagger so it might be a unit pennant of some kind. I am not good with unit symbols/insignia but I am sure someone else will help out with the details.

Mystery Nazi Pennant...

It looks like the top half a Luftwaffe dress sword or dagger to me as well. I would guess that it is a unit designation pennant also. Mike

Could be from Flanders (black yellow coulor) and the Luftwaffe sword could represent the Flemish 'Fabriekswacht' who served under the Luftwaffe.

Al:
As previously posted on the WA-Forum, this pennant
looks to me to be from a late war German Air Force
ground unit - lots of surplus Luftwaffe troops were
made into last ditch infantry cannon fodder in 1945.
As the quality of this pennant is so crude it may not
even be WW2 vintage?

The badge in the centre was the city arms of Coburg, 1934-45.

IMHO that's a genuine civilian pennant for general use in Coburg...................probably by locals at the council hall, schools etc.

Not military and not an 'official' pennant.

This was the traditional arms of Coburg, which the Nazis banned for some reason.................

On November 10, 1934 the city received these new arms, which were used until 1945.
