AH Personal Flag - Original?

Hi:
I am interested in knowing whether this Hitler personal standarte / flag is original. It is about 15 by 17 inches.
A flag identical to this one (or at least very similar to it) appears in the backgroud in several pictures in the following thread:

Jeff, the one posted in this thread is a reproduction......It lacks the quality of an original.....The stitching on the corner triangle is poorly executed and the silk screen job is not of quality that one would expect during the Third Reich.....Bodes

A whole series of Japan made Nazi flag repros, like this AH
flag, were made in the 1970's and sold for around $10 back
then - they all had leather corner support ties which are now
seen sometimes removed to try to fool folks. Sadly I've seen
such flags priced at several hundred dollars these days! </center>

there were several of these. as well as other german flags at this years Tennessee Military Collectors show.. all with leather corner tabs.. all are repro,s and am fooling some of the unwise/ clueless collectors...

I had one of these Flags years ago. I bought out of a Catolog called WW2 Ltd. I think I paid about $12.00 for it. It did however make a nice Display case Background. If it was a Flag for the Personel use of Adolf himself, you could bet your Boots that it would be Beautiful and of the Highest Quality. All the Best, Carlton

I have an AH Standard exactly like that (somwhere, I can't find it right now)...and also this one, of similar construction, approx 14" x 20". Both came from either Unique Imports or WW#2 LTD (can't remember which) back in the early 80's. Definately repro (and it definitely glows under UV).

I still have a couple of the old WW#2 LTD catalog books from the early 80's, in fact I just leafed through them a couple weeks ago...an interesting reference in regards to the reproductions that were on the market in that era.
