Battle Flag, need opinions!

HI!

I am planing to buy this flag, I am sure it is period flag but it has some SS stamp on it?! I don******180;t know what can it be or why is on the flag, I guess it is some kind of fake stamp, what do you think guys??

I would tend to think someone has added the stamps to "increase" the value of the flag Any kind of acceptance stamps, like KM markings, are normally found on the edge.

If the stamps don't show up too badly (they are hard to see in the photo)and the price of the flag reflects these, I think you will be OK. But it is a real pity as it looked a nice flag.
