            Even if the site is in norwegian, the photos are interesting: salvaging the bridge eagle for Zerstörer Z 12 "Erich Giese" last month from the harbour of Narvik.

                  Thank you:-) Yes it was given to Narvik krigsminne (war memorial) museum and are now at their workshop for conservation, it is going to be a part of the museums exhibition . It weights over over 330 pounds and measures approx. 59x47 inches. E Giese was one of 10 german ships that where sunk in the area near Narvik harbor, and most of the eagles from the other wrecks have been stolen up trough the years, and have probably ended up on the international collector market.

                      That is one impressive eagle. I wouldn't mind owning one of the fakes, if the price was right.
