I'm sure this was used on something a little closer to the front lines, perhaps a feldpost bus/truck or something like that. Anyways I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. The piece is W&C maker marked on the rear just below the swastika.

Nice crisp detail, not sure about the paints originality, same caution needed as with normandy camo painted helmets, but overall it looks great!

Previous owner inherited it in 1963. I sure hope there weren't Normandy camo schemes likes this in 1963.
