Officers vehicule pennant

Hi,

This one was offered to me yesterday, was found in a garage with 2 Austrian numberplates.
I never collected flags or pennants, it certainly has age to it but conerning authenticity I have no clue

Has somebody got and idea on the originality of the flag and weather case?

It's certainly an unusual example. The bracket and weather case is not something I've seen before, but it looks extremely old. The actual pennant border and material look good, but the eagle looks like it was sewn on reverse side, but that can be because it's chain stitched? Here are pictures of one of mine....there were several variants.
