With the stahlhelm on it, I'd guess it's some sort of WW1 veteran's organization (Der Stahlhelm?) flag....Without a header with size and manufacturing information on it, I'd say it would not be a standard government issued war flag....Bodes

All I know is WW1 KF's were generally marked on the headers and were remanufactured and used after the war and into WW2....But mostly afterwards for parades, rallies, and military related functions....I cannot comment however on the originality of yours, but the bird on the shield is not typical...Bodes

When original, it is in my opinion a flag used at the fender of a car.
This tells me the size.
