An amazing find in the Wolfschanze!!!

An amazing find in the Wolf's Lair. A few days ago, in Hitler's former headquarters - Wolf's Lair (Wolfschanze), a Polish explorer, Artur Troncik "Saper", found a stone with a painted Adolf Hitler flag. The stone was probably placed in front of the barracks building occupied by the 1st company of the Fuhrer Begleit Battalion. The find was discovered during research carried out by the Laterba Foundation in the area of the Wolf's Lair.

Stone was lying with flat surface to the ground by last 75 years and colours are still fresh!! Look at the quality of paint. Multiply layers, looks unbelievable!

I myself will take this find with a pinch of salt Love to know what paint of the time used to make such a work would last face down in the ground for so long? Anyway just call me the devils advocate for now folks, its only an opinion

Wish I could understand what they’re saying in the videos, but I’m also skeptical. Why does everyone have a camera? It seems like they walked right up to this spot and turned the rock over on a whim, after almost everyone in the group was recording for 5 minutes. This could be an easy trick to pull off if you’re trying to sell this thing at auction and want to provide some kind of provenance.

You can belive or not. But that is true find. When rusted helmets taken from the ground has paint You belive in them, then why You dont belive in stone? Wich is not rusted and paint is attached better to stone surfacr than to rusted steel.

I tend to agree. The rock shows that the surface of the painting was subject to significant humidity. I really doubt that paint would survive in that condition for 70+ years.

It’s mostly the videos I’m skeptical about, they seem staged to me. I would like to see this published in an archeological or battlefield research journal before I believe it.

Painted Rock......they never ran out of Ideas I just took the time and look over several Albums from the Fahrbereitschaft as well as from the FBB at the FHQ. And as usually, wooden Signs and no Rock anywhere to be found. And then look at the Video.....30 Cameras....pointing at a Rock in the same Moment it is found? Hollywood at it's finest. I do have 2 Film Roles left what are made at the FHQ, will watch them too and look at any painted Rocks...

Paint will typically survive a bit better on metal (of helmets) than stone... I will hold other opinions to myself.

I posted a picture of this stone because I think it is a huge curiosity. I will not convince you that this is the original - because those who want it will believe it anyway. Skeptics will always find a hole in the whole thing and I will never convince them.

Research has been conducted regularly since the beginning of this year. Everyone who wants to participate in them cannot. Only trusted people. The area is closed and guarded. Old bunkers are being demolished, old rubbish bins are being excavated. All this in order to obtain exhibits for the museum, which is located in the Wolf's Lair.

As for the cameras - everyone has cameras because every step of the research is documented. There are numerous videos posted on Youtube. People from Germany, Poland and sometimes from other countries also participate in the research.

Arthur, when he picked up the stone and saw the flag underneath, put it back in the same position as it was originally. He summoned all the test participants and ordered him to run with cameras as soon as possible. Everyone did not know what to expect while shooting the film. He surprised them and lifted the stone so that everyone could see at the same time what was under the stone. The boulder was gently rinsed so as not to lose moisture, packed in an airtight bag and immediately went for maintenance. The paint condition was good only when the stone was wet. Drying out the stone could lead to the irretrievable loss of the painted flag.

I will not convince anyone. Whoever wants to believe, but personally I am very irritated by the comments of people who look for fraud at all costs. As I wrote, this is official research. The stone will be on display at the museum in the Wolf's Lair.

for me a typical set up, they already get prepered like they find the holy grail for "just" turning a f$ stone around. Gottlieb made also his official reseraches in the East ...

I don't buy it either. Why would they paint something like that on a stone? Back in the day they probably would have a skilled mason carve it...not paint it. They also had plenty of banners lying around as well...I don't see the need. Paint certainly wouldn't have lasted Hitler's vision of a 1000 year Reich.

It begs the question why anything would be painted in colors when everything probably would have been camouflaged anywhere near Hitler.
