I assume we're talking about originality of the piece, and not about how we feel about the areas that been highlighted?....Bodes

I wouldn't buy it simply because I'm not sure how well the paint would come off and what it would look like afterwards. I don't like it as-is and there's no way the Nazi's did that.

Definitely highlighted post war, but again not sure this is what JR is seeking....As for originality, I don't personally see any major red flags....Studs have been cut off and appears cleaned up by file....I guess I would like to see some evidence of the saw coming in contact somewhere with the backside edge, but not a deal breaker....Does look like prying damage done on the top of one of the wings....Bodes

The paint was probably done by a bored vet one day after the war not realizing that one day it would effect the value.

May or may not....I know a guy who had a vet acquired one, that had been painted and the names of the places he had fought written (in paint as well) quite nicely across the wings....Was rather attractive actually...Bodes

Jeez.... too bad there's no product out there that removes unwanted paint & schmutz from metals cuz stripping this eagle down to its original look would be as easy as taking a dump.... and probably faster depending on your diet.

I'm fine with it. Here are some pics of some other PSLOK 680, one from JR's site (hope you don't mind me using it for referrence). By the way, uploading images on this site is horrible...it never works right for me and I'm not going to waste any more time trying to make it work. Wonder if there's a place on here to report issues.
