    ss flag

I say the flag looks ok to me . But there are others on here who will say it is not good because the runes are sewed on. Cliff

I don’t usually take to the sewn on rune type but I have to say I find this one very hard not to like..... and I just love scribbled on GI flags. The best

Those are not "scribbles" they are signatures of American WW2 heroes, and it is far from sad they decided to sign it.

Good or bad...it's not hard to get several different people with several different pins to write down some dead vets names.

The fading and bleeding of the names would be hard to duplicate, I've collected and studied several Vet signed flags, some have a handful of signatures and some have over a 100. These signatures are genuine IMO and some of those "dead vets" could still be alive!

I agree, with US vet handwritten signatures it´s same as I know and seen them.
Good chance thats a real camp flag, they where massive from know reference photos.

Those are not "scribbles" and it is not sad at all.

In terms of value, if all this is authentic, those signatures of the brave men who took itheir defeated enemy's as a trophy at the scene of the crime makes for a price enhancement. I would love to have this flag, more so even than an identical but unmarked version.

Should read "defeated enemy's flag as a trophy" but for some reason the forum's edit function kept timing me out when I tried to correct it.

                              Hi,

the flag is of course legit, the "old" model design which is - imo - less appealing.

The first problem is that it is not worth more than 7k - max 10k usd...
The last big flag with the late war design was sold on Poulin for less than 2700 usd with fees (a bargain ! I stopped bidding because i had other stuff to buy).

And the second problem is that i love the "this flag should be in a museum"... yeah right, shame to the consignator...

For sure the flag will never sell at that price.

                              See You
