LOK 600 Railway Eagle

Evening guys, I’ve been looking for a railway eagle for a little while now and come across this one.. looks to be unused/unissued, no threads present on the unfinished mounting studs. The centre markings look to be -

LOK
RZA 5
BERL

All comments and opinions welcomed and gratefully received...

another repro ...seems market has been saturated by theese "unfinnished" examples ...many other threads to look at conserning these specimens...i wound not by one of these without provedance ...plain and simple ... EC

I'm posting some pics of an authentic example for comparison. Two studs are in tact and assuming two were broken when removed from the train. These PS LOK's were far from perfect.

My studded example has plenty of imperfections. I'm not going to go into other details as I've exhaustively gone over this topic many times.

I've seen many other studded versions with the same imperfections that Welsh RS's examples shows.

I say on this one you need to know what it measures . And I have a book JR sent to another member on here and one thing to look at is the edges to see if they have been filed to remove the jagged material from it . The front doesn't look to bad . Cliff

Agreed. Should be very close to 23 3/4". Also like what I see on the ends of the studs. It's common to see the booger'd up (no other way to say it) excess material around the base of the studs. The example I showed has some around the middle upper stud.

I have been informed that the measurements of this bird are - 60cm wingspan and 34cm height.

i agree ...the eagle in question looks more"crood" than the one you show ...especially around unfinished studs ...and eagles head lacks detail ..looks like it was made last week in idia,pakistan????..... EC
