Postal flag?

Out of curiousity since I did not buy the item I was wondering if someone can translate this and tell me what this flag was for. Swastica flag with patch up in the left top corner that said " Fachschaft Reichspost Ortsfachgruppe Apolda" and underneath the writing was a depiction of what looked like a hunting horn. This item was in pretty bad shape. The patch itself was off the flag in part & the whole flag was dirty and moth holed with I believe a tear in it also. Along with this item were some badges and a photograph album but the guy wanted to sell all the pieces as a group. He wanted 1000.00 dollars for everything,this was out of my price range but out of curiousity what would a flag like that,in as I said fairly bad condition go for?

In the 1970's I saw a postal horn corner patch flag at the Houston Gun Show, have never seen another since! Some will say, that I just need to get out more, but I am of the opinion that the "horn" corner patch flags are indeed quite rare, that is to maybe someone seeking just corner patch flags that is? Typical corner patch flags now seem these days to go for around $500, so a rarer more scarce example should be at least some multiple of the more common types? An exact price is rather a subjective topic, as some things sell low, some high, seems to depend alot on the who/what/where circumstances. In this case the flag you saw was likely worth what the asking price was of the whole lot. Old flagswanted, thanks for your info. As I said this item was in what I would say was "bad shape". It really didn't impress me much at all other than thinking to myself it's in terrible shape. Even as a rarer type of flag, in the condition as I described could you give a rough idea of what it might be worth. I couldn't imagine someone paying hundreds of dollars for this item in the shape it was in. I"m a small time(very small time) collector and what the guy wanted for this grouping was way over what I ever spend for stuff.
