    Metal Eagle but what for?

    Hi all,

    Any thoughts on what this eagle was for? Perhaps a desk display? Measured 4 inches and 5/8s across. No markings on it. Heavy patina on reverse and hole from the mount it was broken off of.

    Yes, probably mounted for display. It is an original piece. The same style was also available for desk pieces.

      seen on wooden plaques ..had stud on back to mount thru wood. usually had dedication wording attached under it..

            Do I assume correctly that this type of piece was used for Heer plaques, as opposed to Political commemorations?
